In 2023, a group of women associates at formed a Gender Equity Commission — a program built to train, support, and promote the work of women within the cooperative. Mujeres en Libertad is the direct result: a coffee harvested from more than 35 farms, all managed by women producers. For every 69kg bag exported, Coopelibertad pays a additional "Gender Prize" directly to this group of women, reinvested into the farms that grow this coffee.
